Kohinoor Seed Fields India Pvt. Ltd. (KSFIPL) came into incorporation in year 2000. Company started with cotton crop and in subsequent years it started certified production and sale of wheat & paddy seeds.
KSFIPL has established R&D facilities at Delhi NCR, Maharashtra with testing and multiplication locations at Punjab, Maharashtra and Telangana – aiming at combining new molecule technologies with elite germplasm.
KSFIPL has technology transfer agreement with Mahyco – Monsanto Biotech India Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai for developing transgenic Bt Cotton hybrids for cultivation across India.
Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, architect of green revolution in India, visited KSFIPL R&D center in 2005 and appreciated the efforts of Kohinoor Seeds in research for creating sustainable agriculture and farmer empowerment.
