Kohinoor Seed Fields India Pvt. Ltd. (KSFIPL), incorporated in 2000, is a prominent seed company committed to farmer empowerment through the development, production, processing, and marketing of high-quality seeds.
Company started with cotton crop and in subsequent years it started certified production and sale of wheat & paddy seeds. With advanced R&D facilities in Delhi NCR and Maharashtra, and testing sites in Punjab, Maharashtra and Telangana, KSFIPL focuses on integrating cutting-edge molecular technologies with elite germplasm to enhance crop productivity.
The company has a technology transfer agreement with Mahyco-Monsanto Biotech India Pvt. Ltd. (entered into agreement as on 16th April, 2008) for developing transgenic Bt cotton hybrids for cultivation across all cotton-growing zones in India.
KSFIPL produces seeds for a wide range of crops including cotton, wheat, paddy, maize, bajra, pulses, oil seeds, and vegetables with production carried out under strict supervision in states like Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Punjab.
Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, architect of green revolution in India, visited KSFIPL R&D center in 2005 along with Dr. G.S. Kalkat and Er. B.S. Sindhu and appreciated the efforts of Kohinoor Seeds in research for creating sustainable agriculture and farmer empowerment.
